FitBit: the Ultimate Calorie Counter
October 5, 2009No Comments

After months of waiting, Fitbit has finally been released to the market. For those of you not familiar with the product, it’s the ultimate calorie counter designed to help you stay on track and motivate yourself everyday to get your body moving. FitBit is tiny gadget that you can put on your clothes or on your wrist to track your every step, the amount of calorie you have burned each and every day, and even your sleep quality. Best of all, it comes with an online companion site that the device uploads you data to to help you chart and keep better track of your progress over weeks and months.
So how does Fitbit work? It’s very simple. You can put Fitbit on your clothes and go about doing your daily work without having to worry about counting your steps or doing anything in particular. The device will automatically take care of everything else. It counts your calories and steps and helps you figure out whether you have reached your daily goal (as far as burned calorie is concerned). It also works when you are sleep. The device will keep track of your movement when you are sleep to help you figure out whether you are getting enough sleep each and every night.
All in all, Fitbit is a nice, tiny gadget for those who want to get more scientific and track everything they take in and every step they take. FitBit is not going to lose your weight for you. It’s not a magic gadget. You still have to do the workout. But if you like dealing with numbers to keep you on track, FitBit comes in handy. It’s a bit pricey for what it does but is a time and life saver.
